The Choo Choo Barn has been a beloved fixture in Lancaster County for decades, bringing joy to families through our iconic O-scale model train layout. But beyond the joy of model trains, we believe in the power of hands-on learning to inspire and equip today’s youth. In an age where screen time is competing for young minds, we’ve seen how engaging with trains can teach practical skills like problem-solving, electrical work, design, and creativity.
That’s why we founded the Choo Choo Barn Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to working with schools and communities to introduce children to the world of trains. Through our reading programs, classroom visits, and mobile exhibits, we’re offering kids a chance to explore a new hobby that fosters learning and imagination.
We need your help to continue and grow this mission. Our goal is to expand and build a dedicated space where young people can come together to learn, play, and create—at no cost to them.
